1Login to SIMS (BE) and select "Online Services" then "Search For An Entity."
2Enter the business name or business identification number (BIN) for the business you need a certificate for.
3Click search and select entity link.
4Click "Request Entity Information" and select "Request Business Certificates"
5Select type of Certificate then click "Request Documents."
Certificate of Existence:
Issued to Montana corporation or limited liability company that has a "active good standing" status with our office.
Certificate of Authorization:
Issued to a corporation or LLC formed under the laws of a jurisdiction other than Montana and has an "active good standing" status with our office.
Issued to any business and states facts about the entity.
Certificate of Non-Existence:
Issued to an entity not registered with our office.
2Enter the business name or business identification number (BIN) for the business you need copies for.
4Select available options (e.g., all filings or select filings). Note: If you select Certification, you will receive a certificate with your copies certifying the information.
5Click "Request Documents."
Select "Request Entity Information" then "Request Missing Entity Document"
Complete required fields and click "Request Documents."
SOS will receive your request, scan the missing documents and submit to you.
2Enter the business name or business identification number (BIN) for the business you need the principals for.
4Click "Request Entity Information" then select "Request Principal Information" and click "Request Documents."
