Notary Fees

The maximum fees that notaries public may charge for their services are established by state law. They are:

Fee

For drawing an affidavit, deposition, or other paper for which provision is not herein made. $3.50 per page
For taking an acknowledgment or proof of a deed or other instrument, to include the seal and the writing of the certificate. For the first signature, $5.00;
For each additional signature, $1.00.
For administering an oath or affirmation. $5.00
For certifying an affidavit, with seal, including oath. $5.00
For mileage traveling to or from the place of the notarial act, the amount provided by law for state employees when using the same mode of travel and traveling on state business. Currently 34.5 cents per mile
