Secretary of State Linda McCulloch Unveils “Treasured” Montana Artist;
Photographer Eric Reese of Whitefish
HELENA, MT- Secretary of State Linda McCulloch is pleased to introduce Eric Reese, of Whitefish, as the next “Treasured” Montana Artist. Reese is a photographer who found his passion by looking for adventure in the Montana outdoors.
“Eric has an outstanding gift of being able to capture the beauty and essence of Montana,” Secretary McCulloch said. “His photographs are filled with rich tones of the changing leaves and clear mountain lakes that put you at ease when you look at them. It’s a perfect transition into the autumn season.”
Reese began to pursue his love for photography after spending time in Glacier National Park. The attraction is where Reese says he now spends time refining his craft.
“Living in Whitefish for the last eighteen years, I have had the opportunity to capture Glacier National Park and some spectacular moments,” Reese said. “One of the most evident aspects of my photography, that sets me apart from others, is the use of light and dramatic color.”
“I launched this exhibit to showcase artists like Eric,” Secretary McCulloch said. “It is my pleasure to welcome him to the Capitol as our “Treasured” Artist.”
Reese’s exhibit will be on display from September through December 2013 in the front lobby of the Secretary of State’s office, which is located in the State Capitol Building in Helena. It is available at no cost to the public.
Past and present “Treasured” Montana Artist exhibits are featured in an online gallery at sos.mt.gov/Gallery.
