Secretary McCulloch Named Western Region Vice President
of National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS)

HELENA, MT – Montana Secretary of State Linda McCulloch has been honorably selected to serve as the Western Region Vice President of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS). As an executive officer of NASS, Secretary McCulloch will help foster the development of public policy and the exchange of best practices between the nation’s Offices of the Secretary of State.

National Association of Secretaries of State“I’m grateful to have the opportunity to continue my work as an executive officer of NASS,” Secretary McCulloch said. “The success of our nation’s elections relies on communication between the states and uniform adherence to best practices and procedures. I look forward to working with NASS and the committed officers of the Board on establishing fiscally sound government policies in the coming year.”

Secretary McCulloch’s induction as the 2012-2013 Western Region Vice President of NASS took place earlier today during the association’s annual summer conference, which is being held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While Secretary McCulloch recognizes the significance of the conference, she chose not to attend the event due to the costs associated with traveling. She moves in to the position after having previously served as Secretary of NASS for 2011-2012.
