Public invited to the 90th Anniversary Celebration of the 19th Amendment

Secretary of State Linda McCulloch will join the League of Women Voters to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which guarantees all women the right to vote.

Join us on August 17 at 11:00 a.m. on the front steps of the State Capitol in Helena as we slice a birthday cake to commemorate the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which occurred on August 18, 1920. The 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution became law on August 26, 1920.

The celebration is free and open to the public. Children, friends and neighbors are encouraged to attend! If you have questions regarding the celebration, please call Terri McCoy at 444-2807.
