Secretary of State Linda McCulloch Welcomes Voters to the Polls
FLATHEAD – The state’s Chief Elections Official is in Flathead County observing polling place elections in Kalispell and Columbia Falls.
The trip is part of Secretary of State Linda McCulloch’s statewide tour of elections offices. She will visit the polls and discuss the electoral process with voters, county and city officials and local elections staff.
“City races affect all Montanans. These folks make local decisions about our communities, and I hope voter turnout exceeds all expectations,” said Secretary McCulloch.
“I look forward to welcoming voters to the polls and working with the local staff as they run another smooth and efficient election in Flathead County.”
Secretary McCulloch has awarded Flathead County more than $50,000 in federal Help America Vote Act funds since January 2009. The funds have been used for AutoMark support and maintenance as well as to improve accessibility and security at the polls.
“I’m pleased that these federal dollars have improved elections in Flathead County. I’m eager to learn more about each city’s achievements,” said Secretary McCulloch.
