HELENA – Secretary of State Linda McCulloch is pleased to announce that she has selected Lisa Thompson, Operational Lead of the Business Services Division, as the office recipient of the 2009 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Performance.

“Lisa’s creativity and problem-solving techniques have increased the efficiency of her division, while her expertise continues to be a vital asset to this office. I am proud of Lisa and of the rest of my staff for contributing to outstanding work for the people of Montana,” says McCulloch.

“It’s an honor to be chosen by my peers for this award,” says Thompson. “To tell you the truth, I’m still in shock. I can think of many people in this office who deserve similar recognition.”

In its twentieth year, the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Performance is a statewide program to publically recognize outstanding state employees for the work they do for the State of Montana. Lisa Thompson will receive her award along with fellow recipients during a ceremony on September 21, 2009.
