Secretary of State Linda McCulloch Meets With Montana's Future Leaders
January 8, 2009
(Helena) - Secretary of State Linda McCulloch will meet with Montana's Legislative pages every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Secretary of State's Conference Room. The educational meetings will continue on a weekly basis, through the last Tuesday of the 61st Legislative Session.
"I consistently support open government," says McCulloch. "True democracy calls for transparency, and my door is always open."
The hour-long discussions will range in topic from the office's goals and objectives to what the pages' expect from Montana's first female Secretary of State.
"It's a two-way street," said McCulloch. "The meetings give pages a unique opportunity to learn detailed information about the Secretary of State's Office, and I learn how we can better serve our state's youngest voter population."
"I look forward to meeting all of the 2009 Legislative pages and to hearing what they have to say about improving Montana's state government," concludes McCulloch.
