JOHNSON: NASS CONVENTION COMING
HELENA—Montana Secretary of State Brad Johnson announced today that the 2010 convention of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) would be held in Montana. At the February 6-10 NASS winter meeting, Johnson successfully pitched the idea of bringing the future convention to Big Sky resort.
Johnson said, “We’re keeping Montana in the national spotlight. It’s not just the beauty of our state that we’re looking forward to showing off. We have some programs in our Secretary of State’s office that other states can really use as an example.”
The convention is expected to bring more than 400 attendees and nearly half a million dollars of spending to the state economy. Held in July of 2010, it will also draw elected and appointed Secretaries of State from around the nation.
