McCulloch Celebrates National Agriculture Day by Presenting
Agriculture in Montana Schools (AMS) Promotional Design Awards
HELENA, MT - Secretary of State Linda McCulloch celebrated National Agriculture Day by presenting awards to the first-place winners of the 2013 Agriculture in Montana Schools “Show Me and Teach Me about Montana Agriculture” promotional design contest. The celebration took place on March 19 in Helena.
“Agriculture is Montana’s number one industry,” Secretary McCulloch said. “These awards celebrate the abundance of agriculture in the state and the value of educating our school kids about the economic contributions of everything from crops to cattle.”
Agriculture in Montana Schools (AMS) selected eight first-place winners from the kindergarten through sixth-grade applicants. One winner was chosen from each eligible grade, as was an overall winner for the state. All winning entries will be printed on place mats and distributed to school cafeterias and restaurants across Montana to promote the importance of agriculture in society.
