Administrative Services

Administrative Services provides necessary support to all office programs in the areas of accounting, budgeting, purchasing, mail processing, human resources, and information technology services.

Fiscal Services provides support to agency divisions and is responsible for department accounting bookkeeping, contract management, purchasing and budgeting. This unit serves as accounting and audit coordination liaison with other state departments and various federal agencies, and as the liaison for all budget activity with the biennial legislature. Mail Processing is responsible for the receipt and delivery of mail throughout the Secretary of State’s Office, and assists with ordering supplies.

Human Resources processes payroll and responds to payroll and benefit-related questions such as those dealing with health and life insurance. Human Resources also provides management and technical support to agency staff including such matters as development, implementation, and interpretation of human resource policies and procedures; classification; job profiles and pay administration; recruitment and selection; performance management; and career development and training.

Information Technology provides agency information systems support for local area network computer and software systems.
