Landscapes in pastel are Kathryn Fehlig's primary creative motivation and painting "plein air" whenever Montana weather permits has become a passion. Her work can be regularly seen at her home/studio and Birds & Beasleys Gallery. She occasionally shows paintings at Dan's Fireside Coffee and the Lewis & Clark Brewery, all of which are in Helena. http://www.fehligdesign.com

Press Release

Secretary of State Linda McCulloch is providing Montana artists the opportunity to display their work in the lobby of the Secretary of State’s office in the historic Capitol building in Helena. The exhibit will be rotated throughout the year in order to give artists from all over the state this special opportunity. The Secretary of State encourages the public to visit our office and view the “Treasured” Montana Artist Exhibit at their leisure.

Treasured Montana Artist Statement

“It was my dream to be a landscape painter realized only after my semi-retirement. What luck — I live in Montana — the perfect marriage of artist and environment — I’ll never run out of things to paint. The pieces I’ve chosen to share are a representation of the diversity and splendor of the place we proudly call home.”
